What Fusion 640 is
Fusion 640 was Mazak's transitional Mazatrol on the way to Matrix. You'll see 640T on turning machines and 640M on mills, plus a Fusion 640MT for multi-tasking. It introduced more modern parameter management and improved tool data screens.
Fusion 640 had a shorter shelf life than T-Plus or T-32 — Matrix came along quickly and the install base flipped. But you'll still find Fusion 640 machines on shop floors, and the conversational logic carries over cleanly to anyone trained on T-32 or Matrix.
