I learned the shop floor at Michigan Automatic Turning in Brighton — my father's shop. Transmission shafts and gears on CNC for John Deere, Ford Tractor, and government work. That was the foundation before I joined Mazak Corporation as an Applications Engineer for 19 years.
Since 2009 I've been running my own Mazatrol practice out of Linden, MI. Michigan still has serious lathe work — Tier 1 automotive, defense, ag — and the Mazak install base here is deep. I'm a short drive from most of it.

- Mazatrol programming — from print to first good piece on your existing Mazak lathe
- On-site training — operators and programmers on your control, your iron
- Troubleshooting — alarms, lost tool data, programs that crash intermittently
- Process improvement — cycle-time reductions on existing parts. Documented before/after.
- Turnkey process engineering — end-to-end process design for new parts
